A brand well-known to the Chinese community: Junxiuwen

Junxiuwen Chen's International, widely renowned in the Chinese community simply as'Junxiuwen', has built a strong reputation and brand influence within the industry through decades of dedicated service. Mr Li Minghan, a director of the Group, has dedicated over forty years to the Asian culinary sector. As the pioneer who first introduced frozen dim sum to the European market, he has reshaped the European dim sum industry through his dedication to craftsmanship. Furthermore, he has made outstanding contributions to the preservation of culinary traditions and the development of the industry among numerous top chefs both at home and abroad.

1975

A master of fine dining for four decades, and a pioneer of European-style pastries

Jun Xiuwen specialises in making English-style bread rolls, cakes, various pastries and Asian specialities. Jun Xiuwen mainly works in the Chinatowns of Amsterdam, Rotterdam and The Hague.

1979

From North Holland Towns to Large-Scale Production

The Junxiuwen brand launched a small bakery in Egmond (aan zee) and Alkmaar, before gradually expanding to other regions in the Netherlands such as Wijk aan Zee and Beverwijk. This laid a solid foundation for Junxiuwen (Chen's International) to scale up production and marked the beginning of the frozen pastry industry in Europe.

1984

Teaching more people : nurturing the next generation of hospitality entrepreneurs

As the founder of the Junxiuwen brand, he has been invited to deliver catering training courses in key Dutch cities such as Utrecht and Rotterdam, sharing his expertise gained from four decades of experience in the industry. Today, many of his former students have gone on to become successful entrepreneurs in the European catering sector, continuing the brand's profound influence on the industry.

2024

An international culinary consultant, passionately sharing the flavours of Asia

Chen's International has been active in the European pastry industry for over forty years and is the first large-scale Chinese manufacturer of frozen pastries in Europe to have obtained official EU hygiene certification. The company focuses on introducing authentic Asian flavors to the European market. In 2024, Mr. Chen Haiqun was appointed chairman, and the company's name was officially changed to Chen's International B.V. Chen Haiqun is also chairman of the Dutch Association of Chinese Chefs, chairman of the European Gastronomic Association, executive vice chairman of the World Association of Cantonese Culinary Artists, ambassador for the promotion of Nanhai culture in Foshan, and a visiting lecturer at Jiangsu Tourism Vocational College. Drawing on his industry network and academic background, and with gastronomy as the connecting factor, he is committed to smart product development and promoting the exchange of food cultures between China and Europe.
